On 14 April 2026, students from the BA in Economics cohort 2024–2028 visited the Burana Tower as part of their History of Kyrgyzstan course. The excursion was organized by Dr. Bakhtiiar Igamberdiev, Visiting Lecturer at the OSCE Academy.
The visit provided students with a valuable opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge from the classroom with real historical sites. Exploring the remains of the ancient city of Balasagun, students were able to better understand the cultural and historical significance of the region discussed during lectures. The excursion was both engaging and educational, allowing students to immerse themselves in the historical context of Kyrgyzstan while interacting directly with architectural monuments and archaeological artifacts. Such experiences help deepen students’ understanding of the subject and make the learning process more dynamic and memorable.
