CALL FOR TRAINERS - Capacity Building in Children’s Rights

The OSCE Academy in Bishkek and Global Campus Central Asia invite qualified and experienced trainers and experts to join their roster of trainers to deliver short-term capacity-building programmes in Children’s Rights. These trainings are designed to build and strengthen adolescents’ and students’ capacity and competencies. The objective is to enhance knowledge and skills necessary for evidence-based decision-making, effective public policy design, and designing and conducting research in the Children’s Rights sector.  

Priority Areas of Expertise 

Children’s Rights: 

– Climate Justice and Children’s Rights: Examining the disproportionate impact of climate change on youth and advancing child-centered environmental policies.

– Digital Rights, Artificial Intelligence (AI), and Children’s Rights: Addressing online safety, data privacy, algorithms, and equitable digital literacy.

– Children Deprived of Liberty / Access to Justice: Analyzing juvenile justice frameworks, legal protections, and systemic support systems.

– Child Protection: Strengthening safeguarding mechanisms, institutional frameworks, and community-based preventative care.

– Research & Youth Mentorship:

– Child-Led Research Methodology: Developing tailor-made research methods, data collection tools, and ethical protocols suitable for youth investigators.

– Mentoring and Supervision: Providing continuous guidance and technical oversight to adolescents during active research processes.

Special consideration will be given to applicants with experience addressing cross-cutting issues such as gender-responsive policy, digital governance, and regional cooperation in Central Asia. 

Eligibility Criteria and Trainer Profile 

Applicants should meet the following requirements: 

– An advanced academic degree (Master’s or PhD) in social sciences, public policy, law, or a closely related discipline; 

– A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience in academic, governmental, or international development contexts; 

– Proven expertise in designing and delivering adult and children’s learning programs, workshops, or executive education formats; 

– Familiarity with participatory and results-oriented training methodologies; 

– Fluency in Russian and/or English is required.

  1. Curriculum Vitae, clearly indicating relevant qualifications and professional experience; 
  2. A sample training program outline, session agenda, or teaching material previously delivered, including learning objectives and methods.

All eligible applicants will be considered for inclusion in the trainer roster. Applicants will be informed of the outcome of their application by 20 October 2026. Inclusion in the roster does not imply immediate engagement. Trainers will be contacted individually when training opportunities arise that match their expertise and availability.
