The OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, invites applications from highly qualified scholars for its Visiting Teaching Fellowship positions.

The Public Foundation “OSCE Academy in Bishkek” was founded in 2002 as a result of partnership between the Kyrgyz Government and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). The OSCE Academy promotes values and principles of the OSCE through research, education, professional trainings, and intellectual exchange. Professional and dynamic team, the provision of opportunities for the acquisition and development of qualifications in an educational institution with an international level of work and teaching are the advantages of working at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek.

The Visiting Teaching Fellow will contribute to teaching in the MA in Economic Governance and Development Programme throughout the Spring 2026 semester by developing course syllabi, delivering lectures, grading assignments, and advising students on academic aspects of the course.

MA in Economic Governance and Development Programme

  • Economics and Regulation of Energy Sector, 2 credits

 

Job Description:

The Visiting teaching fellow are expected to:

– timely prepare course materials,

– conduct the assigned course on time and in accordance with applicable rules and regulations,

– evaluate students’ academic performance,

– keep records of students’ attendance and academic performance,

– provide required reports to the Department of Education;

– participate in and/or organize students’ related events;

– prepare necessary reports for the management;

– be responsible for course related paperwork;

– perform other position related duties as assigned by the management.

 

Essential knowledge, skills and experience required for the positions:

  • PhD degree in Economics, Finance, or a relevant subject area (preferred requirement);
  • Minimum 3 years of teaching experience;
  • Demonstrated experience in developing teaching material for lectures and seminars, by introducing innovative material or developing and shaping course structure(s);
  • Excellent knowledge of English language;
  • Familiarity with LMS Canvas, Zoom;
  • Effective and professional interpersonal and communication skills.
