On 5 June 2026, the OSCE Academy in Bishkek welcomed H.E. Ambassador Eduards Stiprais, the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for Central Asia, who was accompanied by Mr. Dominik Rastinger, Political Adviser to the EUSR. Mr. Colin McCullough, Senior Planning and Coordination Officer at the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek (POiB), also attended the meeting.
Amb. Stiprais met with Dr. Pal Dunay, the Director of the OSCE Academy; Ms. Cholpon Osmonalieva, the Head of the Education Department; and Ms. Victoria Orazova, the Head of the International Department. The discussions were centered on the OSCE Academy’s activities as a regional platform for dialogue and cooperation across Central Asia.
Later, Mr. Stiprais engaged with a group of students from the Academy. The face-to-face meeting provided the students with a valuable opportunity to learn about European Union and Central Asian affairs through a Q&A discussion.
