On 3-4 September 2022, the OSCE Academy celebrated its 20th Anniversary and welcomed back over 100 graduates of its MA Programmes to the 5th Alumni Reunion. Along with the alumni, current students, lecturers, staff, representatives of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Diplomatic Corps based in Bishkek, and Heads of several Universities and partner institutions attended various activities conducted within the Celebration and Alumni Reunion.

On 24 August 2022 the OSCE Academy hosted a workshop “Active Mobility Lab Bishkek,” co-organized by FES Kyrgyzstan, SPCE Hub. The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the pilot project “Bishkek Mobility Lab” with the policy-makers and academics (Hochschule Karlsruhe – University of Applied Science, Intersectoral School of Governance BW, and the Kyrgyz State Technical University) and the representatives of the mayor's office, the police and the road service, as well as civil society.

On 25 August 2022, the closing ceremony of the preparatory Summer School Programme 2022 was held at Issyk-Kul Lake. During the four-week summer school programme, students have been taking intensive courses in Academic Writing, Mathematics for Economists, and Research Methods in Social Sciences, preparing themselves for further studies.

On 18 August 2022, a group of students from Tuebingen University, Germany, headed by Prof. Dr. Sebastian Kinder visited the OSCE Academy as part of their field trip to Central Asia.

On 1 August 2022, the OSCE Academy welcomed newly enrolled students of the MA Programmes and interested graduates in related disciplines to participate in a preparatory Summer School Programme 2022. Dr. Indira Satarkulova, Deputy Director of the OSCE Academy, congratulated new coming MA students and participants of the School and introduced MA Programmes and research activities of the OSCE Academy.

On 26 July 2022, Dr. Burulcha Sulaimanova, Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the OSCE Academy, gave a public lecture on "The Impact of Job-Education Mismatch on Earnings: Empirical Evidence from Kyrgyzstan with Focus on Generation and Gender Difference".

On 22 July 2022, the OSCE Academy hosted a presentation of the preliminary results of the study on 'Safety of Female Journalists Online (SOFJO) in Central Asia'. This project is run by the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Representative on Freedom of the Media (RFoM). In Central Asia, the OSCE Academy serves as implementing partner responsible for the coordination and management of the research.

On 25 July 2022, the six-day International Summer School on “Human Security in Central Asia: Sustainable Development Securitization and Human Rights,” organized by the OSCE Academy in Bishkek with support of the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek and the Global Campus of Human Rights in Venice was launched at the picturesque lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan.

From 18 to 23 July 2022, 23 young professionals and university students from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan took part in the VI Model OSCE simulation workshop in Issyk-Kul. The Model OSCE provides a dynamic platform that aims to enhance young people’s knowledge about the OSCE, its comprehensive model of security, consensus-based decision-making process as well as to improve their negotiation, critical thinking and communication skills.

19 July 2022, the OSCE Academy was honored to welcome a high-level OSCE delegation headed by Ambassador Tuula Yrjölä, Director of the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre (CPC)/ Deputy Head of the OSCE Secretariat, accompanied by the representatives from CPC, OSCE Chairpersonship, and OSCE Field Missions in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
