Dr. Tegizbekova, Zhyldyz
Zhyldyz Tegizbekova is a Senior Lecturer at the OSCE Academy in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. She holds a PhD in Law and specializes in international law, data protection, cybersecurity regulation, AI governance, and digital rights, with a particular focus on the Central Asian region. At the OSCE Academy, she teaches “Economic Security and Data Protection” and “Cyber Justice and SDGs,” and oversees the research work of MAHRS graduate students.
Prior to joining the OSCE Academy, she served as a Fulbright Visiting Professor at DePaul University in Chicago, where she spent five years collaborating with the College of Law, and as a Regional Consultant for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) for over three years. She has held academic positions at Ala-Too International University and Narxoz University, teaching courses on International Law and Personal Data Protection. She also works as an independent consultant for the OSCE Programme Office in Bishkek. Her research addresses data governance and national innovation systems, digital governance, and digital rights in Central Asia. She serves as an international judge for the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition.
